Denver Nuggets at Boston Celtics NBA Picks Review
The Boston Celtics are battling with the Atlanta Hawks for the top seed in the Atlantic Division while the San Antonio Spurs are battling with the Dallas Mavericks for top spot in the Southwest Division, so both of these teams need some wins.
The Celtics are on their first game back after a road trip. They lost their last game to Utah giving up a 12-point lead with Paul Pierce going cold shooting just 3 for 11.
But they won their first three and Pierce was on fire averaging 28 points.
The Nuggets have lost two straight to some of the worst teams in the NBA, the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks, although the Bucks are playing pretty well of late. Their coach George Karl is undergoing treatment for throat cancer and isn’t with the team.
Carmelo Anthony continues to score in the losses. The big difference in between their wins and losses seems to be defense right now. They gave up over 100 points in their previous two losses and they gave up less that 90 points in their previous two wins.
The Celtics are 4.5-point NBA odds favorites and the over/under is 205.5.
The Nuggets need coach George Karl to be with them if they’re going to stop their slide against a good team. The Celtics were playing well until their last loss, so they’ll come out firing again.
The Celtics have home court and will be better rested so go with the home team.
Most of the trends point towards the Celtics, but they are just 10-22-1 ATS at home so take the points.
